Project DescriptionIn a time where security cameras are ever present, where anyone can whip out a camera and record on the spot, and where we voluntarily share our own thoughts, selfies, and happenings it is easy to build false image of a person. Political leaders are hardly the exemption, if not prime subject of misrepresented self image.
This project looks into finding information on and representing leader, whether they are political leader, revolutionary leaders, or leaders a particular field of study or skill. Students are to create a silhouetted portrait of a leader and fill it with facts of their life and quotes that they have made, so that they an create complete and factual images of them. Students are also required to cite their sources through the MLA format. Below is a slide show of the process, and below that is the class gallery. Click on the image to make it larger. CriteriaComposition-5 point: The image is composed in the best way to fill the canvass in an appealing manner.
Form-10 points: The form read clearly as the form of the leader. Finishing- 5 points: The entire work is done cleanly and the undersketch is erased so that only the text is visible. Text-10 points: The text is done in colored pencil, marker or pen and is legible without writing errors. Work Cited Page- 10 points: Submitted work cited page in MLA format of at least three credible sources and at least 15 life facts or quotes. |
