Project DescriptionThe world is a beautiful place full of wonderful scenery. Part of many artists' body of work is showing these scenes to the public.
Creating beautiful scenes require an artist to find the proper inspiration, compose the scene best so that it shows off its best qualities, and a bit of skill to show off the realisms of the scene as well as the artistic flair. You will be using the gridding method to draft out your scene as well as your knowledge of color theory to mix up an array of colors to paint it with. CriteriaThree Ground Levels- 15: The scene contains a foreground, middle ground, and background. Each of those levels are visually interesting and well constructed.
Structure- 10: The scene has been well drafted and looks realistic according to light logic and volume. Paint Handling- 10: The entire canvas is covered in paint. Each area has several layers of underpainting and glazing. The paint is handled with skill. Unique Landscape- 5: The scene reflects artistic vision in colorset and composition. |
