Warm up: Create a personified version of a mood by drawing the idea of what it feels feels like. Think of the characters from Inside Out or the Dwarves from Snow White. Class Assignment: Fill in your color wheel and Tint and Shade scales using watercolor. Be sure to mix all your colors and to paint each section twice.
Warm up: Draw something that you did over spring break. Class Assignment: Fill out a worksheet thinking out objects, symbols, ideas, moods and assocciations for red, orange, yellow, green, blue and violet. For each color provide an answer or two:
Warm up: Create a monster that eats planets. Class Assignment: Finish up your sketches and transfer the design over to your final paper.
Warm up: Change the material something is made out of. Create an inorganic object that is made out of organic material or vice-versa. Class Assignment: Start working on your sketches for your project. Figure out what your overall scene will be, what kind of perspective you will use, where the vanishing point and horizon line will be, what will the pop out be, and what little details will be included in your scene.
